NIT, Kurukshetra Presents MUN (Model United Nation)

The Microbus Society of NIT, Kurukshetra Presents MUN (Model United Nation) at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre (UNIC).

Model United Nation is an academic simulation of the UN that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations and diplomacy and United Nation agenda.

Any student pursuing any course can be a part of the two days event hosted in college premises.

• Model United Nations is probably the most popular extracurricular activity in Universities and Schools all across the Globe.

• A Model UN is a simulation of the actual UN.

• Students represent countries in different committees of the UN like the General Assembly, the Security Council.

• They debate, negotiate and come up with solutions to solve the pressing issues and problems that the world is facing. This activity makes them come face to face with geo-political issues.

• Helps immensely in their personality building.

• It teaches the delegates, for once, to look beyond ‘I, me, myself’ and fight for the greater good of humanity.
