NIT Durgapur: The National Institute Of Technology is one of the 30 National Institutes in India located in Durgapur. It was founded in 1960 by the West Bengal CM Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Its also been honored as Institute of National Importance by the Indian Government under National Institute of Technology Act,2007.
The institute with its 16 departments offers graduate and undergraduate programs in Engineering, Science and Management. Departments are mostly involves to research activities sponsored by Govt. bodies like Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Important Dates:

• Attested copy of mark sheet/ Grade card of the standard X, XI and other university examinations
• Attested copy of proof of date of birth
• Attested copy of proper community certificate from a competent authority, if applicable
• No-objection certificate from the present employer, if applicable’
