Nirmaan Youth Parliament conducted at Galgotia University

The Nirmaan Youth Parliament at Galgotias University, Noida is a movement, a revolution in incubation. In 2015, Nirmaan stood true to its name yet again and shaped many young minds into a better version of themselves.

The event saw registrations from 18 different states, 100 different educational institutions and 500+ participants. Thus began the grueling process of shortlisting and wait listing which the organizing committee handled prudently. Ample preparation material, 24x7 helpline, email and website support form and active social media presence helped put participants' anxiety at bay prior to the event.

Being an academic simulation of the Lok Sabha, the agendas for discussions were Section 370(a), Anti conversion Bill and The Land acquisition Act on April 17^th, 18^th and 19^th respectively. Day1 saw some strong arguments revolving around human rights v/s crime and punishment. Day 2 was intense as politics along the lines of religion has been debatable since times immemorial. The final day proved to be a total knockout, with delegates trying to balance the scales between ethics and business.

Aaron Mirza (Speaker), Vaibhav Singh (Dy. Speaker) and Aditi Tyagi (Scribe) focused on making the session a fruitful learning experience by testing reasoning, analytic and behavioral skills on all three days.

Be it The Executive Board or the delegates, everyone was thoroughly impressed by the dedication of  the organizing committtee led by Abhishek Agarwal and Kriti Doneria under the able guidance of Mr. Dhruv Galgotia (CEO,Galgotias) and Ms Vinnie Khanna Mathur (Dean, Student Affairs), to whom the successful execution of Nirmaan is accredited to.

"Stop Acid Attacks", The Shahnaz Husain Group, BMW etc were the event partners for GYP - Nirmaan. Ms Geeta Lodhi, an acid attack fighter graced the event as the Guest of Honor. Her story touched everyone present there as she appealed to the youth to consider gender based crime as a crime against humanity, because it affects us all as a society.

There were no second rate achievers at Nirmaan, Galgotias Youth Parliament. Every single person took home the ideas, the message and the spirit of making a difference that Galgotias University firmly stands by.
