International collaboration cell at NIFTEM has organized students exchange programme for the students who is studying in the academic year 2012-2013 to University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), USA, Kansas State University (KSU), USA and University of Saskatchewan (USC), Canada.
This international student’s exchange programme to above mentioned developed country Universities will help the students to understand the contemporary science and technology used in the field of food. For the academic year 2012-2013, based on the student’s academic performance and discipline 8 B. Tech. and 3 M. Tech. students of different discipline have visited UNL for 7 days and 19 days (July 24 to August 2 and July 24 to August 11, 2013) respectively along with two of the NIFTEM faculty.
Similarly 4 and 2 M. Tech. students of NIFTEM along with one NIFTEM faculty have visited KSU and USC for a period 19 days from July 24 to August 11.
During this visit B. Tech. students were planned to attend lecture by UNL faculty, visit various academic labs of UNL, industrial visit and agricultural form associated with food processing. While M. Tech.
students were also exposed to similar activities along with their hands on experience to the various ongoing research activities in their concern Universities.
