New Horizon College of Engineering signs a MOU with Guhring India Pvt. Ltd.

Department of Mechanical Engineering, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guhring India Pvt Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary of Guhring OHG. It is a leading manufacturer of high quality, rotary precision cutting tools. This MOU will allow the UG & PG students of Mechanical Engineering to explore new opportunities in their Internship / Projects / Research and training programmes and thus will help students in getting industry ready. This MOU will undoubtedly bridge the gap between the industry and the students. The MOU also covers inviting experts from the area of machine tool / cutting tool design from Guhring India Pvt Ltd for expert lecture programmes at the Department of Mechanical Engineering to educate students about the employment opportunities in the field of design and manufacture engineering.

Mr. Walter Ritter, MD/ CEO, Mr. Mukund Bharadwaj, Depty CEO and Mr. S.K.L.N Prasanna, Officer, Training and Communication (Technical), Guhring India are the concerned authorities related to this MOU. Dr. Manjunatha, Principal, New Horizon College of Engineering added, “It is indeed a moment of pride for our college. This MOU will certainly help students in getting better training and placement opportunities and especially girls should make use of this facility in finding a better employment opportunity in core mechanical engineering.” Dr. Ganesh Prasad, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, New Horizon College of Egineering said, “This MOU will definitely help the students in getting core mechanical jobs which are rare to get in the present scenario.”
