NEET Exam 2016 Counselling, Seat Allotment Dates Announced

NEET exam 2022 Phase II has been successfully completed on July 24, 2022 and the result for the same is awaited. NEET 2022 results are expected to be declared on August 17, 2022. Meanwhile, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for online counselling and seat allotment process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET exam) 2022.

The all India medical counselling will be held in online mode and will be completed in two rounds that will start from Monday, August 22, 2022. Candidates who examination authority will announce qualified for AIPMT (NEET Phase I) and NEET Phase II exam will be able to participate in the AIPMT/NEET online counselling 2022 that will be held for the allotment of 15 percent of All India Quota for MBBS and BDS seats in India.

The online counselling for NEET exam 2022 will be held for admission to MBBS and BDS seats in the government medical as well as dental colleges of India. This counselling will not be done for institutions in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. For private medical and dental college seats as well as state Quota/AFMC seats, candidates need to reach out to the concerned state government/ admission authority and directorate of medical education.

As per the directions from the Supreme Court of India, candidates belonging to the Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh will not be eligible to participate in the 15 percent counselling of all India Quota Counselling.

NEET Exam 2022 Counselling for Round 1

The NEET Exam 2022 counselling for round 1 will allot seats to candidates based on their rank, availability of seats, choice, reservation policy etc. The important dates for the NEET 2022 Round 1 counselling are given below.

• The registration for the main counselling, choice filling and indicate seats will commence from the August 22, 2022 and will be on until August 25, 2022.
• Candidates will be able to exercise choices and locking them on August 26, 2022.
• The Round 1 seat allotment will start on August 27, 2022.
• The result for the Round 1 counselling will be published on August 28, 2022.
• Candidates need to report at the allocated medical and/or dental college based on Round 1 counselling anytime between August 29, 2022 and September 3, 2022.

NEET Exam 2022 Counselling for Round 2

NEET Exam 2022 counselling for Round 2 will be done once the process of NEET Round 1 counselling is over. The counselling in this phase will be done for the seats that are not allocated after the NEET Round 1 counselling. • Candidates will be able to exercise choice and lock them in the second round on September 2 and September 10, 2022.
• The process of seat allocation for the NEET exam 2022 second round of counselling will be done on September 11, 2022.
• Transferring of vacant seats to the state quota will be done on September 20, 2022.
• The time duration that candidates need to report to the allotted medical and/or dental college against the second round of counselling will remain between September 13 and September 20, 2022.

NEET Exam 2022 Answer key confusion

However, before students go for the first and second round of counselling under the 15% All India Quota for undergraduate MBBS and BDS seats through NEET exam 2022, the kinks and hiccups in NEET have been reported every now and then. NEET exam 2022 continues to confuse and be a troubled affair as the answer key for NEET Phase II has been questioned and concerns have been raised about three answers that, according to teachers and students, are incorrect.

These questions in NEET exam 2022 Phase II have been marked numbered as 78, 146 and 179. It remains to be seen when the official answer key is challenged for the alleged disparity in answers and review is demanded failing which, students who have answered correctly can suffer negative marking. Three wrong answers plus negative marking can make a big difference if this is the genuine case.
