Eligibility criteria for 15% All India Quota Seats

• As stated in the NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the age on or before December 31, 2022.
• The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on December 31, 2022. Further, provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward-Classes.

The criterion for candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and J&K

• As per NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria, Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K are not eligible for the 15% All India quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit a Self Declaration online, which will be generated and printed automatically along with the confirmation page for the record and to must be present during the counseling.
• The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counseling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature/admission of such candidates shall be canceled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.
• Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K can appear in the NEET exam for admission to Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, subject to the fulfillment of NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria.

Eligibility criteria for seats under the control of States/Universities/AFMC

• As per NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the age on or before December 31, 2022.
• Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to the rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments and the Government of India.
• The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under seats in the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be as per their rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Qualification Examination Codes for NEET 2022

Code 1

According to NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria, candidates who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2022 and whose result is awaited can appear in NEET 2022 but they are not eligible for admissions if they don't pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage.

Code 2

The senior secondary education (SSE) or the Indian school certificate examination (ISCE) after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study consists of Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other elective subject with English.

Code 3

The intermediate/pre-degree exam in Science of an Indian university or any other recognized examination body with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.

Code 4

The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English after passing either at higher secondary, pre-university examinations or an equivalent examination. This should also include practical tests in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

Code 5

The first year of the three years of a degree from a recognized University with Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests and also have studied English.

Code 6

B.Sc exam from an Indian university provided that a candidate has passed the B.Sc exam with not less than two of the subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology. Besides, a candidate must have also passed the earlier qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

As per NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria, any other examination which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate Science examination of an Indian University/Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects including practical tests in each subject.

• NEET 2022 will be a pen and paper based examination.
• Candidates will have to mark their answers on the OMR sheet using a ball-point pen.

• Each correct answer will be given 4 marks.
