Finally all the confusion has been set to rest! NEET is NOT taking place this year (It was scheduled for 13th May 2012). It should take place from next year onwards (2013-14 academic session).
A press release on the CBSE website states that NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) for under graduate medical courses will be introduced from 2013-14 instead of 2012-13.
The CBSE will now conduct the AIPMT 2012 (All India Pre-medical/pre-dental Test) only for the 15% all India quota seats. The dates:
AIPMT Preliminary Exam: 1st Apr 2012
AIPMT Final Exam: 13th May 2012
