National Summit on “Higher Education for Skill Development & Employability”

A National Summit was organised shortly by the EPSI. The topic of the national summit was Higher Education for Skill Development & Employability, which was lectured by the Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) in Chandigarh. MREI is comprehensively working towards cooperation and collaboration in Skill Development.

On addressing the national summit Dr. Prashant Bhalla, Treasurer EPSI & President-MREI said that Education Promotion Society (EPSI) has been imparting its robust support to higher education in India since 2005 and from past ten years, it has done policy advocacy, stakeholders’ consultation and lobbying on behalf of thousands of higher education institutions, universities, and academicians. EPSI has a diligent engagement in various critical matter of Indian higher education and due to this it is reckoned as a frontman for the Indian Education Sector. Apart from this he also shared that EPSI has tried to represent the private sector institutions’ viewpoint on various forums including the Parliamentary Standing Committee on MHRD.

•  Sardar Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Hon’ble Minister for Irrigation, Punjab
•  Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki , Hon’ble Governor of Haryana & Punjab

On its inaugural addressing Sh. Prakash Singh Badal, Chief Minister, Punjab said "For making India progressive in the 21st century and eliminate social problems of poverty and unemployment, it is necessary for the Central and the State governments, public and private universities and institutions for higher education to stress on skill development"

At the end of the National Summit Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President-MREI and Treasurer-EPSI promised to support the mission of providing quality education vetoed by Sh. Prakash Singh Badal at this platform.
