About NPTI Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering:
NPTI is a national apex body for training and human resource development in power sector. To broaden the career prospects in the power sector, NPTI train candidates in power plant engineering. The course is of one year duration (2 semesters) which trains diploma holder engineers in operating and maintaining a power generating stations.
Eligibility for NPTI Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering:
- A candidate should be three year diploma holder in Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation and Control/Electronics and Instrumentation from a recognised Technical Board with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
- Reservation for SC/ST candidates is applicable as per the guidelines issued by Government of India.
- Candidates born on 30th September 1985 or after are eligible to apply for the course.
- The selection will be done on the basis of merit.

- 60% of seats are for Mechanical Engineering.
