National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur Celebrates Technica 2012 College Fest

Technica was organised by the Society of Metallurgical Engineering Students (SMES), NIT Jamshedpur and is a platform for students from India to display their technical prowess in the field of Metallurgy & Material Sciences. Besides participating in the plethora of events, students also get a chance to interact with many eminent personalities, in the form of seminars and guest lectures.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur was erstwhile known as Regional Institute of Technology and was established in 1960, which was then later upgraded to NIT in 2002. NIT Jamshedpur offers engineering courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Production and Industrial Engineering. The courses offered by the institute in M.tech are Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also offers PH. D, Non-Formal B. Sc. Engineering Programs and MCA programs. Admission to NIT Jamshedpur is on the basis of AIEEE.
