Amity University is all set to host its yearly National Film Festival, Via Screen. Amity School of Communication is now accepting entries from students all over India for this year. 
 
Via Screen is the veteran film festival of the Amity School of Communication, which is counted among the pioneer institutes for media studies in the country. Organized every year on a national scale, it aims to promote creativity and independence for students speaking through the silver screen.
 
Apart from screening movies and documentaries spanning various genres, Via Screen also hosts a panel discussion headed by the industry’s crème de la crème, talking about the numerous aspects of cinema and its impact on the Indian Society. 
 
Students can send in their documentaries or movies to compete for the following awards: 
 
  • Best Film 
  • Best Director
  • Best Cinematographer 
  • Best Editor 
 
All entries are viewed by a selection panel, and qualifying students will be notified by email. This year, the festival is also handing out cash prizes to the winners in each category. The last date to send in entries is January 30th, 2015, and all information and guidelines are available on the website mentioned below. Students can register as participants or campus ambassadors through the same.
