National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), Miniratna (Cat-1) company is a key Indian producer of organic fertilisers, chemical fertilisers and industrial chemicals. NFL was incorporated in 1974 and is India’s largest Central Public Sector Enterprise (Government of India Undertaking) in Fertilizer Sector with a turnover of over Rs. 7500 crores. Coming under the administrative control of Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, it is the second largest producer of the key fertiliser Urea in India. NFL has five gas based Ammonia-Urea plants viz Nangal & Bathinda in Punjab, Panipat in Haryana and 2 at Vijaipur (Madhya Pradesh).

National Fertilizers Ltd has announced the recruitment of engineering graduates Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Computer, Material and Chemical Engineering via the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2022).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate should have obtained a full-time degree in Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Materials with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised University/Deemed University or Institute recognised by AICTE (50% for SC/ST).
• Candidates in their final year may also apply on the condition that they obtain a minimum of 60% (50% SC/ST) in their qualifying degree and furnish proof of the same.
• The candidate’s age should not be more than 27 years as on January 1, 2022.
• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

GATE Score:

A score of candidates in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers (GATE) 2022 will be a determining factor in the selection. The graduate engineers who are interested in taking up a career in NFL need to appear for GATE 2022 in the relevant disciplines.

Based on the GATE score, candidates will then be qualified for the next selection rounds consisting of a group discussion and group task and then finally a personal interview to assess a candidates’ understanding of different facets, skills and attitude. Candidates have to first successfully pass the GATE-2022 examination and after that the GD/GT and PI to make it to the selection. Merit list will be prepared based on GATE score, GD/GT and PI scores, and will as per each discipline.

Selection Process:

Based on the GATE-2022 MARKS, candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview. Suitability of a candidate shall be adjudged on the following criteria:

•  Weightage of marks obtained in 80%
•  Qualifying Examination, i.e. GATE-2022 (rounded off to 02 decimal places)
•  Weightage in Interview: 20%

Emoluments:

National Fertilizers Ltd. offers one of the best pay packages in the Fertilizer industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 16400-40500 at the basic pay of Rs. 16400/- during one-year training. On successful completion of training period, these candidates will be considered for regularization as Engineers / Officers in the pay scale of Rs. 16400-40500 at a basic pay of Rs. 16900/-. Besides basic pay candidates will also be paid, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance/Company Accommodation and will be entitled to other perquisites & allowances/benefits such as leave, medical treatment, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Pension etc. as per company rules in force from time to time during training / after regularization.

How to Apply:

• The candidates will require their GATE-2022 Registration Number, Roll No. and Score Card. The candidates need to apply on the official website.
• Candidates belonging to General/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500/-. The SC / ST / PWD category and Departmental candidates need not pay the registration fee.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the registration fee.
• While applying Online, the candidate should keep the scanned copy of their passport size colour photograph, their signature in JPEG format and Gate scorecard in JPEG/ PDF format not exceeding 500 KB size each.
• Read the instructions carefully and fill-in the On-line application form giving accurate information including the GATE-2022 registration number and payment details. After successful registration, the system will generate a Unique Application Number. Candidates are required to keep the printout of the Registration slip that will be generated by the system after successful registration.
• Please ensure that the GATE registration number, which is mentioned on your GATE Admit card, is filled up correctly. The name should also be filled up as appearing in GATE Admit card. No request with respect to the change in any data entered by the candidate will be entertained once the application is submitted successfully.  

Placement:

The selected candidates shall undergo one-year training at our various Units/Offices. Candidates can be posted at any of the Units/Offices of NFL all over India.
