National Conference on Water and Sustainable Development - 2016

A national conference will be starting from January 8-9, 2022 on the theme of Water & Sustainable Development (WASD) in the Centre for Water Engineering and Management at Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), Ranchi.

The aim of the Water & Sustainable Development (WASD) national conference, 2022 is to identify strategies and innovative water saving technologies particularly suitable to developing countries in the context of sustainable development. The national conference welcomes original contributions that emphasises on scientific issues or practical/field issues pertain to the hydrological models, watershed management, micro irrigation, management of water in agriculture etc.

Water & Sustainable Development (WASD) plays an imperative role in making economic development & healthy ecosystems for surviving in the earth. Due to lack of resources, sustainable development becomes important for fulfilling the needs of the present generation and also it doesn’t make any compromise with the ability of future generation.

Water & Sustainable Development (WASD) cover vast ranges of themes which include:

• Optimization of water resources for sustainable development,
• Aquifer recharge and ground water modelling studies,
• Quality of surface and ground water and its contamination,
• Participatory watershed management and hydrological modelling,
• Flood and Surface Water Management in Mines
• Best management practices and efficient use of water in agriculture,
• Environmental impact assessment of water resources projects.

Registration for WASD – 2022

Corporate Bodies, Industry, R&D Organizations, Academic Institutions, Research Scholar and Student are requested to register for the WASD 2022 by November 30, 2015. The corresponding fees for delegates are as follows:

• Rs. 4,000/- per delegate from Corporate bodies / Industry
• Rs. 2,000/- per delegate from R&D organizations and Academic Institutions
• Rs. 1,000/- per Research Scholar and Student delegate.
