National Conference on Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery Research at SVKM’s NMIMS

SVKM’s NMIMS Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy and Technology Management (SPPSPTM) is organizing a two-day national conference on Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery Research: Innovations, Challenges & Opportunities (NCNDDR) on 16th and 17th October, 2015 at Mumbai.

Nanotechnology, or better called Nanoscience has come a long way to revolutionize the therapeutics and diagnosis of diseases and thus would play a key role in the survival of human race itself. Nanotechnology has and will continue to open the doors of drug delivery in life threatening diseases like cancer. Our conference focuses on the platform of Medicinal nanotechnology and its application in healthcare which would open new doors for pharmacists for better patient compliance and healthcare.

Prof. (Dr.) Ahmed Kamal, Project Director, NIPER- Hyderabad will be the chief guest for this conference. Prof (Dr.) Rinti Banerjee, Professor at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay would be the key note speaker. Prof. (Dr) R.S Gaud, Director, SVKM’s Pharma institutions, Mumbai and Prof. (Dr.) Bala Prabhakar, I/C Dean SPPSPTM is the chairperson and convenor of the event respectively.

NCNDDR 2015 is an excellent opportunity to showcase the latest trends in the area of nanohealthcare. Well renowned scientists and academicians from all over India including Indian Institute of Technology-Mumbai, National Institute of Pharmaceutical education and research-Mohali, Bhabha atomic research centre-Mumbai, Panjab University- Chandigarh and M.S. University- Vadodara would communicate the applications of latest technologies and services to the target audience. More than 350 participants from various esteemed institutions and corporate sector across the country will be participating in this conference.

Around 100 young scientists would be presenting their research work on Nanotechnology in drug delivery application.

NCDDR 2015 will prove to be an effective platform for researchers developing next generation drug delivery therapeutics and diagnostics more sensitive and effective.
