NAARM Invites Application for Admission to PG Diploma in Management (Agriculture) for 2013-15

About NAARM:

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) laid the foundation block of the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) at Hyderabad in 1976. The institute started with an aim to impart education related to agricultural research and management. The service expanded to include research, capacity building of senior professionals of national and international NARS (National Agriculture Research System) in agricultural research and education management and policy consultancy support to NARS. The academy also provides services for building IP Portfolios like patents and geographical indications to various stake holders including farmers and scientists.

The aspirant can apply to the course (for 30 seats) on the basis of their CAT 2012/CMAT results. Students need to apply before 30th March 2013. To know more about the application procedure read on.

Eligibility for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agriculture) by NAARM 2013-15:

• The minimum qualification is four years bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from any agricultural university or institution recognised by the ICAR/UGC in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management/Commercial Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Bioinformatics, Agricultural Biotechnology, Diary Science/Technology, Fisheries, Food Technology/Food Process Engineering, Forestry, Horticulture, Sericulture and Veterinary Sciences.
• The students who will be completing their degree by July 1 2013 can also apply.
• The minimum aggregate of 50% is required to apply for the course.
• The reservation of seats will be available on the basis of guidelines issued by the government of India.

Selection procedure for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agriculture) by NAARM 2013-15:

Admission of students to the PGDMA programme is done on the basis of scores obtained in CAT/CMAT, group discussion, personal interview and academic record. Weightage given to different process are as follows:

Admission Procedure for admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agriculture) at NAARM 2013-15:

• The interested candidates will be screened on the basis of CAT 2012/CMAT 2013-14 scores.
• The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) during May-June 2013.
• The selection will be done on the basis of CAT scores, academic record and scores obtained in GD and PI.

How to apply for admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agriculture) at NAARM 2013-15:

• Candidates need to obtain a demand draft of Rs 500 (Rs 300 in case of SC/ST) drawn in favour of ‘ICAR-Unit-NAARM)’ payable at Hyderabad.
• Candidates need to fill in the application form online. To fill the form click here.
• After filling the form take the print out and send it along with (a) recent passport size photograph (pasted on the application form) (b) photocopies of class 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets (c) photocopies of undergraduate mark/grade sheets upto the last semester available (d) Photocopies of Degree/Provisional certificate (if issued) or Course Completion Certificate/Certificate from University Authorities about the status of course completion (In case the candidate is in the final semester of under-graduate course) (e) work experience certificate (if any) (f) photocopy of CAT 2012 result (g) photocopy of CAT 2012 Hall Ticket (h) Photocopy of SC/ST/OBC certificate if applicable (i) Statement of Purpose (SOP) - Two page hand-written by the candidate on their own words about themselves, their aims, reasons for choosing Agri-Business as career option and reasons for choosing NAARM.
