M.Sc., M.Phil & Ph.D. Programmes 2012 by Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR): Admission Notification

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is an advanced research institute responsible for carrying out research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view.

IGIDR announces admission to M.Sc. in Economics and M.Phil. / Ph.D. in Development Studies for academic session starting in 2012.

Eligibility for M.Sc. in Economics by IGIDR

• You must be B.A. / B.Sc. in Economics / B.Com. / B.Stat. / B.Sc. (Physics or Mathematics) / B.Tech./ B.E. with at least a Second Division for Economics Discipline and First Division for other disciplines.
• You must have studied mathematics at the higher secondary level or should be able to demonstrate equivalent mathematical ability.

Eligibility for M.Phil. / Ph.D. in Development Studies by IGIDR

• You must have M.A./M.Sc. in Economics
• You must have M.Stat./ M.Sc.(Physics or Mathematics or Environmental Science or Operations Research) 
• You must have M.B.A./ M.Tech./ M.E./ B.Tech./B.E. 
• You must  have at least 55% aggregate marks for Economics discipline and 60% aggregate marks for other disciplines. 
• You must have studied mathematics at the higher secondary level or should be able to demonstrate equivalent mathematical ability.

Application Procedure for M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D. from IGIDR

• You can obtain the application form and prospectus for M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D. from IGIDR from the Institute Students Office by paying cash of Rs.500/- on all working days from Monday to Friday between 9.15 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.
• You can also request for application form and prospectus for M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D. from IGIDR by Post along with a bank draft of Rs.500/- (Non refundable) in favour of Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) payable at Mumbai. You can send request to
