MOU between Mody University and Stony Brook University, USA

Bonding with Stony Brook University, USA is one step forward of Mody University towards another global recognition.

 

 

Yes, Mody University of Science and Technology, Rajasthan joins hands with Stony Brook University, the State University of New York, to develop student and faculty exchange programmes and collaborate in instructional and research activities. In this regard a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two.

 

 

Mody University and Stony Brook will start its partnerships first in engineering and business management and then expand to other areas.

 

In recent years, Mody University has built many other partnerships with International universities for research, student and faculty exchange, and student internships. They include Carleton   University, the Capital University of Canada, National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland, University of Rosario, Bogota, Columbia, University of Missouri, USA, and Ecole Centre of Nantes, France. 

 

Mody University students have received many international scholarships and have also been engaged in internships at world famous research laboratories such as GSI, Germany, CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research) Geneva, Switzerland, and French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), France. Indeed, Mody University is the only Private University in India to have been conferred this distinction by CERN. Within the next few weeks, National University of Argentina and Mody University expect to receive a grant to conduct joint research under the India-Argentina Partnership.

 

Dr. Vishwanath Prasad, the new President of Mody University is instrumental in building the above partnership with Stony Brook. He is an internationally-renowned researcher and academic leader from USA, who joined Mody University in April 2014.
