The Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) and the Delhi Technological University (DTU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 14, 2013 with the purpose of jointly taking up projects in the fields of design development, research, indigenization of technology etc.
The MoU was signed at DTU by Dr. S. Gangopadhyay, Director, CSIR-CRRI and DTU’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. PB Sharma in the presence of other dignitaries from CRRI and DTU.
Calling the collaboration between DTU & CRRI a “partnership for excellence”, Prof. P.B Sharma, Vice Chancellor, DTU said, “This MoU will aid in bridging the gap between graduating engineering and professional engineers as well as reduce the gap between lab level research and the research required by the government industry in developing road and transport related technologies. The missing gaps in expertise at both the partners may be filled through this collaboration and it will be particular beneficial for the faculty and students of DTU. This MoU is a stepping stone towards a long-term partnership between two premier organizations.”
