Meta University’s Master of Mathematics Education (MME) entrance test in June 2013

As part of the Meta University concept, University of Delhi (DU) & Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) had planned to introduce a joint Master’s in Mathematics Education course, which was approved by JMI’s Academic Council in 2012.

Going ahead with this plan, the Master of Mathematics Education (MME) entrance test by Meta University will be conducted on June 16, 2013 for the academic session of 2013 – 2014. This will be its second year of function. This PG program brings together the seemingly unrelated fields of mass communication (from Jamia's mass communication research centre) and mathematics (handled by DU).

Eligibility criteria for MME by Meta University 2013

• Graduate degree in any subject, with mandatory 2 full papers in mathematics
• Final year students can also apply (admission subject to submission of graduation passing documents)

Syllabus of MME

• Reasoning and analytical dexterity
• Mathematics
• Mental ability
• English language and communication skills
• General knowledge

MME exam pattern

• Test duration: 60 minutes
• Total no. of questions: 75 (to be answered in black ball point pen)
• Shortlisted candidates to appear for an interview that will carry 25% weightage

• Sale of application forms: May 20, 2013
• Last date for submission of application forms: June 7, 2013 (until 1 p.m)
• Entrance Exam: June 16, 2013
• Result date: June 20, 2013
• Interview dates: July 1 and 2, 2013
• First merit list: July 4, 2013
• Provisional admissions basis first merit list: July 8 - 10, 2013
• Second merit list: July 11, 2013
• Provisional admission on second merit list: July 12 to 15, 2013
• Commencement of classes: July 16, 2013
