CMAT 2017 Exam Analysis!

CMAT 2022 is a national-level online aptitude test for candidates seeking admission in top management institutions that accept CMAT scores. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts this entrance exam every year. Like 2022, CMAT was held on January 28, 2022 for the academic session 2022-19. The CMAT merit list 2022 has been declared by AICTE, while candidates can download the scorecards on February 9, 2022 from 10:00 am onwards.

CMAT 2022 Paper Analysis

CMAT 2022 examination was conducted on January 28, 2022. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate according to many candidates who appeared for the examination. the Quant section was the toughest out of all the sections, while the difficulty level of the paper overall was just moderate. On one hand, LR section was comparatively easy, while on the other hand, English Section was of moderate difficulty. Around 15 questions were based on pure Reading Comprehension and each passage had six questions. Apparently,  after the Quant section, General Knowledge was the most challenging. 

CMAT 2022 Application Process

Candidates interested in CMAT 2022 can register themselves through online application that will be available on the official website of AICTE-CMAT as soon as the official notification about the same is released.

The registration process is simple and can be easily done by following these steps-

• Visit the official website of AICTE-CMAT and carefully read the instructions.
• Accept the declaration, a six-digit password will be generated and will be send to you via SMS/Email.
• Use this password to log in any time as an existing user.
• The next step is to pay the registration fee, that can be done though Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking or Challan.
• Once the payment is done, the only thing left is to fill the personal/academic details about yourself and with that the registration process is complete.
• The admit card will soon be available for download.

Registration Fee:

The registration fee is INR 1400 for General and OBC candidates and INR 700 for SC/ST/PD candidates.

CMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in CMAT can check the eligibility criteria and selection process of  the same here.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate should be an Indian Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university is compulsory
• All age groups can apply
• Students pursuing their last year of graduation are also eligible to apply

Selection Process:

The selection process for admission is different for each college and also depends on the rank secured by the aspirant in the merit list. However, the basic criteria for selection is:

• Valid CMAT score
• Group Discussion
• Document Verification
• Personal Interview

The final selection will be done as per the merit list released by the particular Institute depending on the above criteria.

CMAT 2022 Test Pattern

The Common Management Aptitude Test will have 100 objective type questions, which will be divided into 4 sections:

• Quantitative Technique
• Logical Reasoning
• General Awareness
• Language Comprehension

The test pattern would be-

It is a 400 mark paper. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer. 3 hours will be given to each student to complete the test.

CMAT 2022 Syllabus

The CMAT paper is designed to check the basic concepts of an aspirant. Questions will be asked from Mathematics, Reasoning and English. The syllabus for each section is as follows:

Quantitative Technique:

This section is all about mathematics. This sections tests your basic knowledge about the mathematical concepts like arithmetic, and also some advance topics like permutation and combination, probability, geometry, trigonometry and statistics.

Logical Awareness:

This section includes topics based on number and letter series, calendar, clocks, syllogism, cubes, logical sequence, logical matching, and many more.

General Awareness:

For this section, the candidate needs to stay updated with the recent national and international happenings.

Language Comprehension:

In this section, questions are asked about basic grammatical concepts, reading comprehension,  jumbled sentences, vocabulary and many more.

CMAT 2022 Admit Card

The admit cards for CMAT 2022 will be available for download from January 13, 2022, between the last day of registration and the CMAT exam date.

The admit card will include the name, photograph, roll number and signature of the candidate, the date and venue of the exam and the instructions that are to be followed during the exam. It is compulsory for all candidates who are appearing for the online exam, to carry a copy of their admit card to the venue as an ID proof.

CMAT 2022 Results

CMAT 2022 results are expected to be announced in the second half of January 2022and a merit list will be released with the results. This merit list will be a national list and will include names of all candidates who appeared for the test. Individual score cards will include the scores and ranks of the particular candidate while the merit list will include names of all along with percentile.
