This lion from one of most loved Disney movies was an inspiring leader. His leadership style was motivational. Just like any great leader, his land (organisation) and his animals (team) are his top priorities. He not only takes care of his current responsibilities, but he also mentors and trains his offspring (successor/subordinate), Simba, to take the empire after him. This exemplifies his far-sightedness as well which makes him admirable as a leader.

The Beast (Beauty and the Beast)

You can’t force your decisions on others is what this movie teaches us. Belle does not obey the beast but, falls for him when she sees him endangering his life for her. As a leader, you cannot force your decisions on your team rather you can set an example and inspire them to follow you.

Hercules (Hercules)

Being a leader isn’t all about the limelight as power and position demands great sacrifices. None of the incredible acts of bravery make Hercules a hero as he wished to be. It took giving up his life for an immortal being to become one. The higher you climb in terms of an organisational hierarchy, the more you have to put at stake.

Marlin (Finding Nemo)

Marlin’s son Nemo is lost and he goes to the extreme ends to find him. Every possible obstacle, from sharks to a whale, comes in his way but, he does not stop as his son matters the most to him. Such is the determination demanded out of great leaders as they never give on the way of achieving their goal.

Grandmother Willow (Pocahontas)

“Listen with your heart, you will understand”, says the grand ma. Many a times, a leader has to follow his or her instinct. There will be a time when you do not have all the data and information available and that is when a good manager will have to listen to his gut. Though preparing for the worst in advance is what a good planner would do.

Aladdin (Aladdin)

Being original is the only way you can sustain. Aladin takes the help of his Genie to impersonate a prince to woo Jasmine. He does all this only to find that what she likes him for what he actually is. You can win the hearts of the consumers only by being one of your kind. Also, a manager who is most true to himself and to his team is loved the most.

Elsa (Frozen)

She is kept hidden for years because she had some unique powers. Anything which is new and different is feared. But, she finds her true self and also the courage to control her powers of turning anything into snow, once she moves away for a while and accepts what she really is. A good leader always takes criticism and obstacles in a way that he is not obstructed by them and works his way to turning his weakness into his strength.
