Transitioning from high school to college is not that easy. A lot will change over a short span of time. In college, you are often away from your parents, free to make your own decisions, decisions often based on new peer pressure. One may feel isolated, confused.

With the same note, many faces with the mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, an associate college of GGSIPU, attended the orientation day and thumbs up to the new phase of their  life.

On the day all students were formally introduced with the faculty members and fellow students. The thrill of starting a new journey was reflected upon many students’ faces.

Eager to make the right impression or to be serious towards their studies, students seemed to have their priorities set out. Even the college was ready to welcome their new students. Thoroughly cleaned up and decorated with balloons and garlands, the campus appeared to have a light and upbeat environment.

“We have entered as late admissions and are pretty nervous if we will be able to blend in. The college environment looks promising and we hope we made the right decision by choosing IPU.” said Arzoo, Shreya, and Tejan, a group of amicable girls who have applied for CSC.

A year drop out student, Anshul exclaimed, “I’m going to have the time of my life in Maharaja Agrasen! The BJMC seniors are cool and I can’t wait to start my classes. I even enquired about the yearly college trip, though no one gave any affirmative answer I’m sure my college life is going to be amazing!”

“I’m all prepared to start this new journey. I’ve ensured to make my first impression, my best impression. I have an elder sister doing BJMC and have all my doubts cleared. Thecollege will be fun.” says Priya, a BJMC student.

Mohit, an architecture student, standing almost abandoned spoke his mind, “I was very nervous in the morning. I don’t easily make friends and everybody here, already seem to have a group but I talked to a few teachers and they were kind. So, I think I’ll survive.”

A BBA Student, Amandeep seemed so lost in the crowd. He said, “I’m trying to take in all the commotion around me. It won’t seem like it, but I’m pretty excited. The best thing is that the college campus is huge and quite”.

All the energy and good vibes emanating from these students made the day eventful and jolly. The faculty members congratulated them on having chosen their preferred courses. They wished them luck to start with their classes from Tuesday.
