Delhi University has invited application to PG/Master’s courses for the candidates seeking admission in the academic year 2022-18. All candidates should apply online as the admission process is entirely based on the entrance examination conducted by the Delhi University.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must have completed any of the UG courses (10+2+3 scheme) in a related discipline or in any stream from Delhi University (DU) or any other recognized university/institute across India.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Registration Fee:
For SC/ST/PWD Candidates: INR 250 for each course
For all other categories (Unreserved, OBC etc): INR 500 for each course
Note:
*Registration fee is not refundable
*Fee has to be paid during online registration process.
*If applying for more than one course, the candidate has to pay a separate registration fee for each programme/course.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Registration Process:
- All candidates should register online on the PG Admission Portal.
- Click on the “Register Here” button under the “New User?” option on the website.
- Enter a valid email ID and the password of a maximum of 6 characters.
- Enter a valid mobile phone number (10 digit number without any prefix).
- Fill your details (given in the certificates) in the respective columns.
- Before submitting, verify all the details. No changes or modifications can be done after the submission of application form.
- A verification email will be sent to the given email ID with a confirmation link. Click to confirm the registration.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Login Details:
- Log in with the registered email ID and password to continue. The same ID and password should be used every time you log in.
- Fill up the postal address details
- Upload below mentioned files. Then click on Proceed and ‘Submit’ the form.
- After submission, a preview of the application will be displayed. Candidates can check for discrepancies, if any, and submit the profile.
- Select the admission criteria and apply for the courses by clicking the ‘Apply in New Course’ button.
- Provide educational details and choose the course from the list.
- Choose the preferable city where you want to appear for the entrance examination from the list.
- Click ‘Save Application’ and proceed
- Now, three options will appear at the bottom of the page i.e. 'Click to Modify Application', 'Pay Fee' & 'My Home'.
- After providing all the details, the candidate can proceed to pay the fee for the entrance examination. You can choose any one of the payment gateways to make the payment.
Note:
*Registration and submission of the form will be valid only after the payment.
*In order to apply for more than one course, a candidate has to fill separate forms and pay registration fees for each course with the same login ID and password.
*Admission criteria (“Entrance based”, “Merit-based” or “Both Entrance & Merit based”).
*Merit-based” mode is applicable only for students from the University of Delhi.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Documents Needed for Uploading:
- Passport size Photograph of the applicant (maximum size:50kb, Formats: JPG/JPEG/PNG)
- Scanned Signature of the applicant (maximum size: 50kb, Formats: JPG/JPEG/PNG)
- Self-attested copy of Identity Proof of the applicant (maximum size: 50kb, Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG). It can be any one of the following documents: Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter’s Identity Card, Passport, and College Identity Card.
- Self attested copy of Class 10th Certificate (maximum size: 100 kb, Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG/ PDF).
- Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate, if applicable (maximum size: 100 kb, Formats: JPG/ JPEG/ PNG/ PDF).
For Foreign Nationals:
- The foreign nationals seeking admission in the University/its colleges should register with the Foreign Students Registry (FSR) in compliance with the schedule notified by the FSR.
- 5% seats in each course in Departments/ Colleges, wherever applicable are for foreign nationals.

MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Examination Centres:
The 2022-18 Entrance examination for PG/Master’s in Arts of Delhi University will be conducted in the following centres across the country.
- Bangalore
- Delhi
- Jammu
- Kolkata
- Nagpur
- Varanasi
*Chosen city can’t be changed after the submission of application form.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Mode of Admission:
There are two modes of admission for Postgraduate courses in various departments/faculties except the ones offering interdisciplinary or professional courses:
- Merit or Direct: 50% of the total intake will be a direct admission of the students of the University of Delhi on the basis of merit. This mode is not available to students from other Universities.
- Entrance: Remaining 50% of the seats shall be filled through entrance examination and Interview/Group Discussion if any.
Candidates can choose to apply in these two modes under the following three options: (a) Merit only, (b) Entrance only, or (c) Merit + Entrance.
Note:
*Each candidate should apply online irrespective of the mode of admission.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Availability of Admit Card:
The Admit Card for the DU entrance examination will be available in your registered account. Candidates can download the Admit Card in June 2022. The printout quality of the admit card should be fair enough for the verification purpose.
MA Entrance Examination of Delhi University 2022 Exam Pattern:
- The exam will be of 2 hours
- The question paper will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format
- Answers have to be marked on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet
- Some of the foreign language courses including Persian may have short-answer questions
- Syllabus: Equivalent BA course or suggested materials by the University
*Answer keys will be published on Delhi University’s site within 24 hours from the conclusion of the entrance exams.
