The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) India is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills developed by the USA-based Law Schools Admission Council (LSAC) for utilisation by law schools in India. It is meticulously designed by testing professionals with advanced degrees in English, Linguistics, Logic and Psychometrics.
This test is mandatory for securing admission in law schools in countries like the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom. Over the years, a number of countries have accepted LSAT for admission to undergraduate and graduate courses of law. In India, LSAT 2015 test score is accepted for both undergraduate and postgraduate law admission in 60 LSAT participating institutes in India.
Candidates can apply for various law courses basis this entrance exam: 5 year integrated LLB, 3 year LLB, and 2 year LLM.

Exam Pattern:
- It is a 2 hour 20 minutes test and comprises of four sections.
- It is a paper-pencil test and contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- There is no provision of negative marking in LSAT 2015
Each section is assigned specific duration. Candidates will be required to finish each section in this duration. Candidates will not be allowed to go back to the previous section or start the next section even if they have finished the current section. When the time is up for a particular section then the invigilators make an announcement to start the next section.
LSAT does not test a candidate’s general knowledge or math skills. It primarily tests their critical thinking skills that they have acquired during their academic tenure.
The LSAT India 2015 is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2015.
