Lovely Professional University will host its 3rd annual convocation in 2013

Lovely Professional University (LPU) organize its 3rd Annual Convocation and the event will be graced by the presence of Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India as the Chief Guest on May 20, 2013.

Lovely Professional University has cordially invited the ex- students of 2012 to attend its 3rd convocation. Parents, spouse of the students along with all stakeholders and well wishers of the University are also invited to attend this event. The convocation will follow with alumni meet at 7.30 pm on the same day.

LPU will also offer medals and awards for the meritorious students. Medalists must register on or before May 18, 2013. Medalists must report, on May 19 at 3.00 pm for rehearsal. Medal winners, who do not attend rehearsal, will not be given medals on the stage.
University will provide accommodation for the students if required at university hostel. In that case, they need to talk to hostel warden. In case, degree recipient seeks separate accommodation, they must submit the request for hostel at the time of registration, which link is available on convocation website.

Dress code and decorum to be maintained:

• Degree recipients must be dressed in formals for convocation ceremony. Jeans, t-shirts, sports shoes etc. will not be allowed.

• Robes (caps, gown and hood) must be worn during the whole convocation ceremony.

• In case degree recipient wears turban, then cap shall not be worn. However the colour of turban shall be black only.

• Degree recipients must sit as per the allotted seat. The seating sequence will be prescribed on the admit card as issued from reporting room.

• Degree recipients must maintain proper decorum during convocation ceremony.

• For each row / sector in the convocation venue, one or more staff / faculty members have been assigned as discipline mentors and they may be contacted for any help.

• Discipline mentors of row will be seating with students only in the allotted row and their instructions should be followed with full spirit.

• In case any degree recipient is found indulging in any act of indiscipline, the discipline coordinator as appointed may take appropriate action like taking away the admit card and once admit card is taken student may not be able to receive the degree on that day.

• Medical counter will be available near the convocation venue and discipline coordinator of the row(s) may be contacted for any help.
