List of 21 unrecognized universities announced by UGC

As per the UGC Act, only those universities that have been established under an Act of Parliament or state legislature or granted a deemed university status under Section 3 of the UGC Act are entitled to call themselves universities and confer degrees.

There are many colleges/institutions in India offering UG and PG courses that are not established under Central or State or UGC Act. Hence, the degrees offered by these institutes are not valid.

Every year UGC Commission checks for unrecognized universities in India.

UGC recommends students to not opt for any courses in these universities. If students still go for these blacklisted institutions, then the Commission will not be responsible for their future – degrees or careers.

Hence, we advise all students to be careful and beware of un-recognized universities prevalent in India. We suggest you to do a thorough research before selecting any college or university and always be updated about these universities. There is nothing much important than your career.
