Indian Institute of Management campuses are learning communities where young minds are mentored and moulded into capable management professionals. Intake process:
Enrolment in any institute in the list of IIMs is a life enriching experience. Given the lowest acceptance rate and intense competition, your enrolment goals can fructify only with sustained effort and proper planning. The intake process is exclusive to each institute and programme; however, commonalities do exist. A computer-based management aptitude test, CAT, abbreviated as Common Admission Test, is an Indian resident’s entryway to a two-year PGP programme across all IIMs. Nonetheless, the foreign origin students need a valid GMAT score for enrolments in the said programme.
When it comes to enrolments in doctoral programmes, the top institutes in the list of IIMs, such as IIM Calcutta, Ahmadabad, Bangalore, and Lucknow prefer to defy the convention. Besides standard intake tests like GMAT and GRE, they value your past academic accomplishments. You may have to write Research Aptitude Test to accomplish your enrolment goals. Written assessment tests, group discussion sessions, and personal interviews are also integral to the intake process of the top institutes.
Reservations:
A consistent reservation policy is one common factor across all institutes finding mention in the list of IIMs. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes have access to 15% of the total seats available, while those from Scheduled Tribes can benefit from 7.5% seat allocations. Moreover, the reservation quota for Other Backward Classes is 27%.
