On 2nd April 2014, Korean Cultural Center India organized special screenings of legendary TV series, Dr. Hur Jun, for 100 plus live audience comprising Media Students and Faculty from Madhu Bala Institute of Communication & Electronic Media (MBICEM) at Korean Culture Center, Lajpat Nagar. 

While addressing the aspiring journalists, Mr. Kim Kum Pyoung, Director, KCC, said “On the 40th anniversary of Korean – Indian ties, it is an initiative to strengthen the bond. Though the centre in New Delhi is only 15 months old, the love and warmth KCC India has received is overwhelming.”

The K-Drama has an intriguing plot which revolves around the life of Hur Jun who aspires to become a successful doctor. The series reflects rich Korean culture and tradition. The screening was followed by interactive talk session and Korean Culture Centre tour.

Mr. Dhruv Maheshwari, Delegate, MBICEM, during the interactive talk session said, “The portrayal of protagonist’s struggle is great and plot is exceptional. It was my introduction to Korean Culture; I’m looking forward to the premiere of feature film ‘Miracle of Giving Fool’ on 7th April at First Frame International Students’ Film Festival.”

Another episode of Dr. Hur Jun is scheduled for screening during the second day of the sixth edition of International Students’ Film Festival, First Frame’14, organized by MBICEM on 8th April 2014 at Arya auditorium, East of Kailash, New Delhi. KCC, the official country partners of the festival has also announced an online blogging competition. The winners will receive cash prizes worth INR 5,000 along with citation at the valedictory function of the film festival.
