JMI Introduces European Studies Course

In keeping with the growing relations between India and Latin America and the existing ties with Europe, the reputed Jamia Milia Islamia university has introduced an M. Phil programme in European and Latin American Studies.

The new course will deal with contemporary and historical features of European culture emphasizing on certain specific aspects of European societies, their media, literature and culture. Furthermore, the program will allow students to work on contemporary themes so that they can develop a body of research in India on issues relating to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Eligibility:

Students with a background in humanities and languages and social sciences, desirous of pursuing research in the broad area of literary and cultural studies can apply.
