Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to its MBBS programme 2015.
In order to get admission, aspirants need to appear and qualify in JIMPER 2015 entrance exam which is conducted every year. The last date to apply for admission at JIPMER, Puducherry online is May 4, 2015.
The entrance exam is scheduled to take place on June 7, 2015 between 10:00 am-12:30 pm.
As many as 150 seats will be available at JIPMER, Puducherry for candidates seeking admission.
Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants must have passed Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination in 10+ 2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Biotechnology and English with 50% for unreserved and 40% for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes and 40% for OPH categories.
Aspirants must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission and must be an Indian National.

The application fee for General is Rs 1000/ and Rs 800/ for other reserved category. Candidates need to pay the application fee either through net banking, credit card or debit card.
Examination Pattern:
The examination is divided into 4 sections namely Chemistry, Physics, English and Biology. The total number of questions in this exam will be 120 and will contain multiple choice objective questions. The number of questions asked from each subjects will be 40 in number. In order to clear this exam the aspirant must be thorough in 12th standard syllabus. There will be no negative marking.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected purely on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).
The MBBS course at JIPMER is scheduled to commence on July 1, 2015.
