JIMS Rohini Joins Hands for “Each One -Teach One” Campaign

Education, a priceless asset to an individual’s life. It is that precious ornament, that covers you with values, glows you the knowledge and sparkles you with skills. It is that part of grooming that prepares one for the various challenges & hardships of life. Education also augments people’s understanding of understanding the world. Education in every sense is counted among the fundamental factors of development. No country in today’s world can accomplish Economic development without substantial contribution in human capital. Realising the niche of education there are still some states of India, which comprises of the illiterate population especially children.

One such reason of illiteracy can be poverty. In such cases, parents cannot afford their kid’s education due to vast disparities in the opportunities based on their social status. Poor children often face the problem of lack of opportunities to learn and to go to school.

Realising the importance of basic education for children, the Social Club of Jims Rohini Sector- 3 initiated a campaign “Each One Teach One”   lasting from 23rd January 2022 to 31st January 2022  were in student volunteers from different departments went to an NGO called Nishulk Sikhsha Abhiyan  Sector-6 & 7 Rohini.

The aim of this campaign was to provide education and enhance basic skills of the unprivileged students who do not get proper opportunities to learn. Most underprivileged children either miss school education or attend schools where teachers are undertrained. They are mostly financially trodden with low-income households and can hardly manage to earn them a basic meal of bread and a household. Children of rickshaw were, labourers, and maids can be benefitted through these campaigns to have access to quality education.

Nishulk Siksha Abhiyaan provides free education to poor children on daily basis to make them efficient and capable of facing confrontations and demands of life. It has 4 branches in Delhi, where every subject of their curriculum is taken into consideration and activities like computer course, video learning, English speaking etc are also kept in mind and included. The main subjects of their course like English, Hindi, mathematics, science and general knowledge are taught in addition to the creative elements like art & dance workshops with a help of students from the theatre department. The various gaming sessions are also part of this teaching program to make studies more intriguing.

Let us all join hands and come forward in all capacities to support Nishulk Siksha Abhiyaan in this endeavour because education is the only weapon to combat poverty.
