JEST 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is a combined admissions test for admission in research and master’s programme in colleges accepting JEST scores. Candidates who qualify JEST get eligible for admission in:

• MSc/Integrated
• MTech
• PhD
• Integrated PhD
• Other Courses in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience, Computational Biology

JEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For Integrated PhD Program at IISER, Thiruvananthapuram
Candidates who have a graduation degree in Engineering, Physics, Technology can apply for Integrated PhD Program in Physics.

For Integrated M.Tech-PhD Program at IIA
Candidates should have done B.Tech/BE/M.Sc  Optoelectronics in Optics, Radio Physics, Physics(Applied Physics), Electronics.

For Theoretical Neuroscience/Computational Biology/Computer Science
Candidates should have done M.Sc or ME or M.Tech or MCA in Computer Science.
Candidates should’ve done M.Sc or ME or M.Tech or MCA in any Engg or Science, with some great numerical aptitudes at IMSc.

For PhD Program in Physics
Candidates should have done M.Sc in Physics or M.Sc or M.E or M.Tech in related orders.
Candidates should have done M.Sc in Applied Mathematics or Applied Physics or Mathematics or Optics and Instrumentation or Electronics or Photonics will be taken as IIA.

B.Tech and BE will be considered at IMSc, IISc, IUCAA, ICTS-TIFR, RRI, IISER Mohali, NCRA-TIFR, JNCASR, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, IISER Pune and TIFR-TCIS

Candidates in the last year of B.Sc or first year of M.Sc in Physics, Astronomy, Applied Mathematics, Electronics can apply.
On the other hand, if you’ve done M.Sc in Applied Physics, Engg Physics or Physics, it will be considered at IPR, at TIFR, Candidates who have done B.Tech, Engineering Physics and M.Sc Physics can apply for this.

For Integrated M.Sc/M.Tech-PhD Program
Candidates who have done BSc will be considered for the Integrated M.Sc, PhD Program in Physics at SNBNCBS, HRI, NCRA-TIFR, ICTS-TIFR , IISER-Pune, TIFR-TCIS.
Candidates who have done unhitched Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Computer Sci., Statistics and Engg IT will be considered for affirmation in PhD Physics, Theoretical Computer Science (a portion of a coordinated PhD Program).
