Majority of candidates appearing for JEE (Main) 2013 for admission to engineering courses in the esteemed IITs, NITs, IIITs, deemed universities and other centrally funded technical institutions have opted for the paper pen test over online exam.
The main exam in major metros will be conducted only online.
About 12.82 lakh high school graduates from 112 cities have applied for JEE. Out of this, 1.74 lakh students will appear for the online test scheduled between April 8 to 25.
Around 47,748 students belonging to Patna are taking the exam followed by 43000 students from Kanpur. JEE aspirants in Mumbai will take the test at Thane, Pune, Amrawati or Aurangabaad.
