Jagannath Institute of Management and Sciences (JIMS) hosts Cynet 2012 for IT Students

JIMS celebrated their Technical Event ‘Cynet 2012’ with much pomp and show. The events that glazed the Fest included:

IT Quiz
The IT quiz was an intense test of one's IT knowledge as well as one's orientation with the various facets of the IT world. The event was of two rounds:
• Round 1: Guess the personality & General IT
• Round 2: Rapid- Fire

Web Masters
It was a contest that assisted unique, creative, radical and commercial approach to webpage designing. The event provided a forum to talented students to display their prowess in the same. The event was of two rounds, Preliminary round and Final round.

Try Catch and Throw
This event tested the programming skills of the participants. The event was of two rounds, Preliminary round and Final round.

Cryptography
Cryptography is a method of secret writing. It is the science of analyzing and decrypting codes ciphers and cryptograms. Participants had to decode the encrypted. This event was conducted in two rounds.

Digital Arts
The event deal with the concept and creativity of students in developing and innovative image out of provided material based on a theme. In this event, participants were provided with some pictures and from that collection of pictures, participants had to make a poster based on the theme.
Beat’em Up (LAN Gaming)
It was the competition where the gaming skills of the participants were tested, as well as to entertain them with the thrill and frills of gaming. It was the place where gamers could come and evaluate themselves. The two games with which the students had to play with were:

• Counterstrike 1.6
• NFS Most Wanted
