IRMA Invites Applications for Admissions 2015-17 to PRM and FPRM

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has invited applications from students of any discipline for admission to its Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM) and Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). The last date for submitting the application form in hard copy is December 8, 2014 and for submitting the online applications is December, 15, 2014. Interested candidates must post their applications before the above mentioned dates.

Eligibility for IRMA PRM 2015-17

Candidates with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education are eligible for applications

Applicants can be graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50 percent marks or equivalent GPA from a recognized university/ institute.

For the SC/ST/DAP the minimum percentage is 45 in their graduation

Applicants, who are expected to fulfil the eligibility requirements before July 13, 2015 may also apply.

Eligibility for IMRA FPRM 2015-17

To be eligible for admission to the FPRM 2015 Programme an applicant must satisfy one of the following conditions:

a) PGDRM from IRMA;

b) PGDRDM from IRMA with one year post diploma work experience;

 c) Post-Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution with 55% marks at PG and 50% marks at Graduation (college) level;

 d) Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience;

 e) Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years’ work experience;

 f) Applicants having a valid score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.) UGC JRF is mandatory, only NET is not sufficient.

SC/ST/OBC/DAP* applicants are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above. Applicants, who expect to fulfil the eligibility requirements before July 13, 2015, may also apply.

Selection process:

• The Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) scored will be taken into account while granting admission into the PRM 2015-17 and FPRM 2015 (Last date for CAT 2014 registration is September 30, 2014)
• The applicants will also have to go through the IRMA Issues of Social Concern Online Test on which is scheduled to be held on January 25, 2015.
• A combined score of CAT 2014 and the online IRMA test will be calculated basis which the students which be selected for the next round.
• PRM participants are selected on the basis of the Admissions Test, Group Activity, and Personal Interview.
• FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the Admissions Test, Interview, and Presentation of an Essay.
• FPRM Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants with a valid score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.) are exempted from taking the admissions test and will be directly called for the interview. Applicants with a valid score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines (management economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.) are required to attach a self- attested photocopy of certificate issued by UGC JRF with the application form. UGC JRF is mandatory, only NET is not sufficient.

How to Apply?

Eligible candidates can apply both online and offline. The online forms are available on the official website whereas the offline hard copy of the application form can be obtained from the Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand - 388 001 on payment of full application fees.

Important dates:

The online application form and the application form in hard copy at Admissions Office, IRMA is available between-September 15, 2014 and December 15, 2014.

CAT 2014 will be conducted on Sunday, November 16 and Saturday, November 22, 2014  (Changes in CAT 2014)

IRMA Online Test on Issues of Social Concern, is scheduled to be conducted on January 25, 2015.
