The fee for all the self-financed courses offered by Institutions affiliated to IP University has been increased for the current academic session. There has been a hike of 75% in the annual fees. Around 5000 students are enrolled under this university in 11 different University Schools of Studies (USS).
The hike is a result of the recommendation made by the Delhi Fee Regulatory Board. No affiliated institution can charge more than what has been specified. This is the first time since the 2011-12 session that the fees has been revised.
Revised fee structures for all the self-financing courses offered at different affiliated institutes are available on the official website of Indraprastha University. Now, with the hike in fees, students will have to pay INR 70,000 instead of INR 40,000.
There is going to be an increase of over INR 10,000 in 74 institutions listed in the July gazette notification of the Directorate of Higher Education. In other private affiliated institutes, there has been an increase of around 20-25% in the annual fees.
A State Fee Statutory Committee was constituted back in February 2013 to determine the fee structure of private institutions in the capital.
