The formidable BITSAT is over! Officially yes, but the experience of giving the 3 hour, 150 questions long exam will stay alive in the hearts and minds of many, specially those will make BITS their home, come this August. Without talking about the cut offs, which are bound to result in cries of laughter for a fortunate few and groans for despair for all others, let me introduce life at BITS to aspirants seeking a place in the country's top ranked private college.
After three iterations and hopefully a fourth, freshers will find themselves in one of the three campuses: Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Pilani, the mother campus was established in 1964 and is widely regarded to be at par with the well-established IIT's. The Goa campus, officially BITS Pilani K.K. Birla Goa Campus was established in 2004 and rechristened in 2009, after K.K. Birla. The Hyderabad campus was established in 2008. All three campuses come under the BITS Pilani University and degree you get after four/five years will not have any mention of the campus. This article deals primarily with Goa Campus.

Academics:
- CGPA System - stands for Cumulative Graded Point Average according to which, BITS has a weight of 3 or 4 credits or units per exam.
- Academics Flexibilities - the dual degree scheme, according to which, a BITS degree are divided in 3 types.
- Examination Pattern - Unlike the Pilani campus, BITS Goa has opted to continue with three exams-a- semester pattern- T1, T2 and Comprehensive Examination
