International Faculty Leadership Workshop at JECRC UDML College of Engineering

JECRC Uttam Devi Mohan Lal College of Engineering (UDML) will organize a workshop on September 30 – October 4, 2013.

It is an International Faculty Leadership Workshop on “Embedded and Mobile Software”.

Aims of the Workshop:

• To provide opportunity to faculty and students to know about the state of the art related to the research and curriculum in Embedded Systems and Mobile Software

• To get a hands on exposure to important topics in this area.

• To avail expert guidance in setting up of embedded systems lab, development of curriculum or research program at Department/Institute.

Course Contents are as bellow:

• Day I: Introduction to Computer Architecture (Foundation): Instruction Level Parallelism, VLIW Computing, ISA, Pipelined Processing etc.

• Day II: Embedded Processors Taxonomy: CISC, DSPs, ARM, Network Processors

• Day III: Code Optimizations: Code shape, Code layout, Data-paths, Memory layouts, Auto-addressing modes, Use of Non-orthogonal ISA, Register Banks

• Day IV and Half of Day V: Security and Trust: Viruses and vulnerability detection (signature and anomaly based approaches), Integrity checking, Privacy and Information flow based solutions, Recovery and availability, Forensics

• Half of Day V: Code Mobility: Introduction to code mobility, and migrations, stateful migrations, serialization, seamlessness, and pre-fetching.

Workshop is open to all faculty members from Engineering Colleges/Polytechnics as well Industry personnel with relevant background and PG students/Ph.D. Scholars.

Registration Fee:

• Faculty/Student (M. Tech. /Ph. D): Rs. 2000/-

• Industrial Participants                : Rs. 5000/-

Procedure to apply:

Brochure with application form is available on Institute website www.jecrcudml.edu.in.  Registration fee is to be paid via DD in favour of JECRC UDML College of Engineering, payable at Jaipur. The scan copy of DD should be sent along with duly completed registration form to iuceecoordinator@udml.ac.in

Last date of online registration was September 16, 2013. Interested candidate can register on spot also.
