Mr. Guy Fraker, CEO and Co-founder at three renowned incorporations of the world: get2kno Inc., Knowledge Services at Autonomous Stuff and Cre8Futures, LLC interacted with the students of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore on a relaxing Sunday that is on December 8, 2014.
Indeed the zeal and enthusiasm of students was exclamatory and they had a healthy interaction with the International delegate. He came to visit India for the first time because he viewed India & China as the places where most important challenges and problems of the world can be solved. He shared his experiences that began with the discussion of a start-up business at the age of 14 followed by a total of 15 launches/turnarounds across corporate, other private & non-profit sectors. Converting uncertainty into clarity leads to growth is his only way of life.
He was very optimistic in terms of India. He explained the students by means of graphical representation that why is it so hard for a company to innovate and how do people think differently. He initiated the talk by discussing upon major challenges in the field of transportation, mining, technological and pharmaceuticals industry in the world. He explained how a person, after recognizing the problem, plans for an action to be taken before jumping into a perfect solution. He also discussed the barriers that people face while making Entrepreneurial efforts. He further spoke on the 5W’s (What, Why, Who, When and Where) and the ‘what if’ analysis followed after that plays a very important role in Innovation.
Mr Guy is a published author, an Inventor, Parallel Entrepreneur, an accomplished speaker and innovation coach. “Be fearless to your learning” quoted Mr Guy while sharing some real life examples from his own experience. He said that a person cannot rely on a single stream in order to fulfil the dream of implementing his ideas and becoming an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur needs to be flexible and keep generating innovative ideas throughout his life. He told the students that greatest opportunity in the world today is in the field of ‘Moon mining’ and they should start thinking about it as they are having the most powerful command over the upcoming generation. He further spoke on how to grab the opportunities and believing self.
He ended up the session by adding that “India is an ideal country for innovation”. Believing self, having hope that you are as much capable as anybody else in the world come under the most important as well as difficult part of Innovation. And the day when anyone can think about the “what if” concept, is the day when he can convert his idea into an action.
At the end of the session he answered some challenging questions flagged by the students and Prof. J.K. Mishra then offered him a token of thanks and appreciation with a huge round of applause on behalf of Jaipuria Institute of Management and the session winded up.
