The Indian wing of the giant American multinational semiconductor chip maker, Intel, Bangalore has invited applications from graduate students for its Graduate Research Internship Programme for executing extensive analysis for wireless and wireline workloads on performance centric dense and blade platforms including virtualised environment.
This option is available to students who have studied B. Tech & M. Tech. One of the world's largest and highest valued semiconductor chip makers based on revenue, Intel is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors. For those of you who don’t know, these are processors found in most personal computers.
In addition to this, the applicant will also be responsible for:
- Testing the performance level of certain workloads and generating detailed analysis reports
- Code medication for optimisation & recommendation
- Developing test apps/ code for existing and new enhancements in vEPC/LWIP stack
- Inter-team interfacing within Intel for debugging performance issues
- Working on application categories like HPC, Productivity Imaging, Multimedia & 3D Graphics
Eligibility criteria to apply for Graduate Research Internship Programme
- B. Tech / M. Tech degree Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
- Prior work experience in the related fields could be an advantage
- Working knowledge of assembly language programming especially for IA architecture
- Know how of wireless technology will be an added bonus
- Superlative software skills in C/C++ and in scripting languages such as Perl/Python in the Linux environment
- Should have open prior working knowledge of vswitch, open day light controller, and open flow
