Jawaharlal Nehru University Engineering Entrance Exam (JNU EEE) 2012 is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi as an entrance exam for students for taking admission to various full time courses such as engineering.
It is considered as one of the prestigious universities of India that has excellent infrastructure and teaching facilities. Every year, a large number of students compete for JNU EEE for building their future in technology and engineering.
The JNU campus is a microcosm of the Indian nation, drawing students from every nook and corner of the country and from every group and stratum of society. To make sure that this is so, annual admission tests are simultaneously held at 37 centres spread across the length and breadth of the country, and special care is taken to draw students from the underprivileged castes and ethic groups by reserving 22.5 per cent of seats for them. Overseas students form some 10 percent of the annual intake. Students' hostels and blocks of faculty residences are interspersed with one another, underlining the vision of a large Indian family.
Eligibility Criteria for admission to JNU EEE 2012
Candidates should appear for the JNU written test in order to seek admission in university. Based on written performance, short listed candidates will be called for interview followed by it. Only those students get admission ,who qualify both in written and interview.
Candidate must fullfill any three of the following:
- Students must have 55% of marks & must have mathematics till class 12th.
- B.Tech. or B.E. or equivalent degree in any branch of Engineering, B.Pharm degree or equivalent.
Application Procedure for admission to JNU EEE 2012
Online Mode:
Applicants are required to apply online by logging to the official website at www.jnu.ac.in
Candidates should keep their digital photo and signature ready as they are required to upload their photo and signature as per the provided instructions on the site.
Applicants are required to take printout of the application form from the official website. This printed application form should be send via mail to the concerned address along with the DD (Demand Draft) and other required documents. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru university payable at New Delhi.
Offline Mode:
Applicants can purchase the admission form by making payment at the JNU Office. Candidates can send in the completely filled application along with DD and other documents at the address mentioned in the prospectus.
Candidates can also receive the application and prospectus by post by sending the request letter and self address envelope (with required postal stamps) along with demand draft for application fees to the concerned address. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru university payable at New Delhi.

Exam Pattern for Jawaharlal Nehru University Engineering Entrance Examination 2012
The JNUEEE question paper comprises of objective type questions based on the syllabus of intermediate subjects:
The paper will be conducted only in english language.
There will be a negative marking system so students are advised to avoid attempting such questions which they are not confident about. The written exam is followed by a viva voce exam for most of the programs offered by the university.
