Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Delhi) begins B. Tech admission for 2013

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) has begun its admission process for B. Tech courses in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). IIIT Delhi offers B. Tech, M.Tech and Ph. D programmes which are approved by UGC and AICTE.

IIIT Delhi offers both CSE & ECE programmes under Information Technology which uses Computing and Communication technologies to offer solutions. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) covers computing science and its applications and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) covers science and engineering of communication technologies and computing systems.

The first year of the program is common for both B.Tech (CSE) & B.Tech (ECE) this provides a strong foundation and ability to students to allow them to move from one program to the other next year. After the first year common program, the second year course is relatively f i x e d , comprising mostly core courses for the discipline, while third year onwards the program is flexible having mostly electives, which may be organized as streams in areas to provide limited specialization. Electives and streams allow students to choose courses and subjects in accordance with their interests.

Average Pay Scale of students from IIIT Delhi is around 7.5 L per year.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to IIIT Delhi 2013 batch

• Minimum 80 percent or more marks in the aggregate and 80% or more in Mathematics in class XII from CBSE/ICSE/IB board or equivalent
• Marks obtained in JEE (Main) 2013 and normalized score in Class 12
• Student should have studied Physics as one of the subjects in Class 12
• Student should not be more than 25 years of age as of Oct 2013
• SC & ST students are allowed a relaxation of 10% marks
• Children or Widows of Defence Personnel Killed/Disabled in Action (CW) are allowed a relaxation by 5%
• Differently abled are allowed a relaxation by 5%
• 10 seats are reserved for NRI’s, who should have a foreign passport and valid SAT score and 80% or more marks in the aggregate and 80% or more in Mathematics in class XII / or equivalent

• If the board has more than f i v e subjects for aggregate best five will be taken into account.
• No candidate without proof of 80% in aggregate and 80% in Mathematics will be considered even if the student qualifies JEE (Main) 2013

Application Procedure for admission to IIIT Delhi 2013 session

• Online applications only
• Fees can be paid through net banking, credit card, debit card and demand draft
• In case of payment by DD, student should be ready with the demand draft before filling the form
• Students called for counseling are required to produce the original documents such as mark sheet for class XII, JEE Mains 2013 score card, proof of date of birth, residence, etc
