SC/ST students at Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad will be facilitated with Aadhar based Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system for providing scholarships.
Government of India has taken a decision to implement Aadhar based direct benefit transfer system (DBT) for providing scholarships to SC/ST students availing Top Class Education scheme. In this Direct Benefit Transfer scheme the scholarship will be transferred to the Aadhar seeded bank accounts of the Scholars.
To implement the scheme, it would be essential that all scholars of the scheme must have bank account and Aadhar numbers and that their bank accounts are seeded with their Aadhar numbers.
In view of the above, all the SC/ST students receiving scholarship under Top Class Education Scheme must open a new bank account seeded with Aadhar number or convert their existing bank account as Aadhar seeded account and submit the details regarding the following to the office of the undersigned latest by August 31, 2013.
Important documents need to be submitted
• Aadhar seeded Bank account details with photocopy of the passbook
• Aadhar number along with photocopy of the Aadhar card
