About ISM
The Indian School of Mines is a full-fledged technical institution of international acclaim offering a host of programmes like B. Tech., M. Tech., M. Sc. Tech. and MBA. In addition the School offers M. Phil. and full as well as part time Ph. D. programmes, while also awarding D.Sc. as the highest degree of academic achievement. The School was granted university status under the UGC Act in 1967. From 1996-97 the School came directly under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India with pay scales and perks to its employees at par with that of IITs/IIMs.

Eligibility Criteria
- MTech Programme: For the MTech programme, the applicant must have a qualifying degree in the particular subject from a university or institute which is recognised.
- MSc Programme: for the MSc programme, the applicant must have an undergradudate Bachelor's of Science (BSc) degree from an university or institute which is recognised.
- MSc Tech Programme: MSc Tech programme, the applicant must have an undergraduate Bachelor's of Science (BSc) degree from anould have obtained a Bachelor's of Science (BSc) degree from an university or institute which is recognised.

Application Fee:
For the general category applicants, the applciation fees is Rs 2,000 for the registraation process.
For SC/ST/PC category applicants, the application fees is Rs 1,000 for the registration process.
The applications need to be filled online.
Selection Process:
The process of shortlisting and selecting candidates will be determined by the following factors:
- GATE Score
- NET Rank
- Qualify in IIT(ISM) JRF Entrance Examination (JRFEE)
- B.Tech from IITs in the particular subjects with OGPA/CGPA 8.5 and above
