Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Bhopal (IISER) Announces PhD Admissions for 2013

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal was established in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

IISER Bhopal is dedicated to imparting high quality science education in a research oriented environment to young and academically motivated undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the semester commencing from January, 2013 in the following disciplines:

Disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Physics.

Minimum Qualifications: M. Sc. Degree (minimum 55% marks) with a valid GATE/NET (JRF or LS)/JEST/ICMR/DBT/NBHM or any other recognized score. GATE-qualified applicants with MTech degree are also eligible to apply.

Fellowships: Financial aid (Assistantship/Scholarship) will be provided for PhD programme as per rule.

Reservation: According to Central Government Norms. Reservation will be 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% for OBC (Non-creamy layer) for the year 2011-12. Also up to 3% reservation shall apply as per Government of India rules for persons with physically disable candidates.
