Independence Day Celebration at Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata

The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata celebrated the providential juncture of the 69^th Independence with great gusto and fervor at the college campus. The campus was well decorated with kites to signify and indulge free spirit of students rising high to meet the skies. The President Sri Champaklal A Doshi was the guest of Honor.  

The Programme started with the magnificent march past carried out by a contingent of deftly dressed school scholars to the rhythm of drum beats followed by flag hoisting by the management. Students also witnessed the sight if freeing the bunch of tricolor helium balloons in the sky.

A speech was delivered on India and its development over the span of 69 years, after the hoisting of the National Flag. Shortly after the speech, a statue of Ex-President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man of India was undraped which was sculptured by a student from Arnab College. An act on secularism by the members of college collective “ENACT”, dance presentations by “FLAMES” and the decoration and poster making competition on the theme by “VIGNETTE” was also a part of the fest. Special attraction of the whole programme was the illustration of Dandi March performed by the Gujarati Section.

On the whole, the fest was a splendid juncture national flavor and patriotism.
