The administration of Indian Law society (ILS), Pune has decided to offer admissions to its under graduate law programmes on the basis of merit in the Common Entrance Test (CET).
Candidates seeking admission to UG programmes- Bachelor of Law (3 Years), BA LLB (5 years) will have to appear in the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 in order to be considered for admission in Indian Law Society (ILS), Pune.
The CET or the Common Entrance Test will be conducted by Government of Maharashtra, through the State Common Entrance Test Council. A notice in this regard was issued by the state government’s department of higher and technical education. This announcement came after Maharashtra Government declared Law as a professional course. It proposed a set of directions to conduct the entrance state wise in an attempt to centralise the admission procedure. The centralised process will include more than 100 government, non-government aided and unaided and permanent non-grant institutes that fall under the state higher education department.
This decision is expected to bring considerable relief to students as it will help to reduce the stress caused due to admission application process for applying in each college individually.
Official announcement in this regard (Marathi) can be found here. (https://ilslaw.files.wordpress.com/2022/01/mah-govt-cet-gr-201512041219497408.pdf)
