About IITTM
The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous organization of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is one of the premier Institutes in the country offering education, training, research and consultancy in the field of tourism, travel and allied sectors. IITTM was established in 1983 and presently IITTM campuses are located at Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Goa, New Delhi and Nellore. IITTM is a founder member of UN-ESCAP promoted Network of Asia-Pacific Educational and Training Institute in Tourism (APETIT). It offers a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes approved by AICTE. About the Courses at IITTM

IITTM has announced admissions to the following programmes for the academic session 2012-14:

• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Travel)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Leisure)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Services)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business) (International Tourism Business)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business) (Tourism & Logistics)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Cargo)

Eligibility Criteria
You need to possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university or its equivalent (10+2+3 pattern). Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and physically challenged candidates will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules. Physically challenged candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. If you are appearing for your final examinations, you are eligible to apply provided you complete your graduation by October 31, 2012. If you fail to establish your eligibility by this date your admission would be cancelled and fees will be forfeited.


Important Dates

Admission Procedure
Admission to the programme shall be through an admission process of 100 points:

• 70% weightage for your performance in the IITTM Admission Test
• 15% each for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) respectively

You must participate in all 3 components of the admission process, i.e., Admission test, GD and PI.
Merit for admission to the programme shall be determined by IITTM. You can pick your choice of programme and study centre during the counselling.

Apply to IITTM latest by February 03, 2012 with admission fees of Rs. 800/- (500/- in case of SC/ ST/ PH) through a demand draft payable to Director-IITTM, payable at Gwalior.

Those with valid CAT/MAT/C-MAT score may apply by March 12, 2012.

On the right-hand corner of the envelope please write “ADMISSION APPLICATION”.   

Application forms received after the due date will not be considered.


IITTM Admission Test Pattern

The test shall be of 2 hours’ duration. Test shall comprise of multiple choice type questions in four sections:

• Language proficiency
• General awareness
• Numerical ability
• Reasoning
