IITs to declare the answers of IIT-JEE 2011 within 48 hours, students can view answer sheets online

For the first time ever, students who take IIT-JEE 2011 will be able to view the assessment of their performance on the internet. Within 48 hours of the exam, the IITs will declare the answers to all the questions.
This decision was taken by IIT-K authorities in a bid to maintain complete transparency in the exam this year. They plan to give separate passwords to everyone who has taken the exam using which they can view their answer sheets and marks online. Once the IITs declare the answers, scanned copies of students’ answer sheets (around 4.78 lakhs aspirants) with their marks will be placed online.
According to Sanjay Govind Dhande, Director, IIT-K, such a step would enable the unsuccessful students to identify their weaknesses and prepare better for the next time.
